Terry holds an M.F.A. in Printmaking from the San Francisco Art Institute (2006) and a B.A. in Latin American Studies from Connecticut College (1995).
His research focuses on the intersection of art, politics, and social critique, using allegorical visuals and sonic elements to explore systemic issues like capitalism, democracy, and environmental degradation. Notable projects include Terms and Conditions Apply (2024), an interactive installation critiquing capitalist engagement norms, and Seeding Newtopia (2022), a community-based environmental project funded by the Urban Field Station Collaborative Arts Program.
Terry has exhibited widely, including at the Delaware Contemporary Center for the Arts, Vox Populi Gallery, and Mass MoCA. His awards include the Delaware Division of the Arts Award (2022) and the Third Stella Drabkin Memorial Award (2018). His work often critiques historical and political systems through meditative, visually stimulating environments that challenge viewers to reflect on societal structures.
Grants and collaborations include the Urban Field Station residency (2022–23) and the Schuylkill Center Project (2022). His artistic practice emphasizes community engagement, such as collecting oral histories for public installations and reimagining urban spaces through participatory art.
