Aaron McIntosh

Aaron McIntosh is a fourth-generation quiltmaker and cross-disciplinary artist currently serving as an Associate Professor in the Fibres & Material Practices program at Concordia University in Montreal. His work explores intersections of material culture, family tradition, sexual desire, and identity politics through textile-based art. McIntosh has exhibited nationally and internationally, including at the Houston Museum of Fine Arts and Toledo Museum of Art, and leads the community storytelling project "Invasive Queer Kudzu" that archives queer Southern histories.
