Aaron J. Dinkin is an Associate Professor in Linguistics at San Diego State University's College of Arts and Letters. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania (2009) and is on sabbatical during Spring 2025.
His research investigates:
- Dialect geography and sound change structures
- Variation in North American English (Upstate NY, New England, Philadelphia, Inland South, Toronto)
- Emerging work on Southern California dialects
