Aaron Hernandez is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Landscape Architecture at the University of Guelph’s School of Environmental Design and Rural Development. He is a registered landscape architect with expertise in cultural values, socioecological systems, and public policy, particularly regarding regional urbanization and climate adaptation. His work bridges theory and practice, emphasizing the intersection of design and ecological resilience.
Education:

- Bachelor of English Rhetoric and Professional Writing, University of Waterloo
Research Focus: Hernandez investigates how landscapes mediate relationships between cultural values and socioecological systems, with a focus on climate adaptation strategies and urbanization trends. His work has been featured in Landscape Architecture Magazine and exhibited at the 2022 Toronto Biennial of Art.
