Aaron Courville is a Full Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Operations Research at the University of Montreal, and a Canada Research Chair in Learning Representations. He holds a PhD in Robotics from Carnegie Mellon University and degrees from the University of Toronto. His research focuses on deep learning models, probabilistic methods, and applications in vision and natural language processing. He co-leads the LISA lab and is Scientific Director at Mila, Quebec's AI institute.
