Ana María Bravo Martín is an Associate Professor in Spanish Syntax and Semantics at the Department of Spanish Language and General Linguistics, Faculty of Arts, University of Murcia, Spain. She is an active researcher and educator with a strong international presence, having served as a visiting professor at institutions such as CNRS-Paris 8 and Université Laval.

Her primary research interests lie at the intersection of syntax and semantics, with a focus on Tense, Aspect, and Modality (TAM) in Spanish. She investigates grammaticalization processes, motion verbs, spatial prepositions, event structure, and the left periphery of sentences. Her work spans both theoretical and applied linguistics, including pedagogical approaches to grammar teaching.
Her recent publications reflect a deep engagement with auxiliary verb chains, modal expressions, rhetorical imperatives, and diachronic changes in Spanish grammar. She has contributed extensively to collective volumes and peer-reviewed journals, often in collaboration with leading scholars such as Ignacio Bosque, Luis García Fernández, and Diego Krivochen.
