ALFREDO JOSE AMIGO POMBO

Alfredo Jose Amigo Pombo is a Professor in the Department of Applied Physics at the University of Santiago de Compostela, affiliated with the Faculty of Physics. He leads the PTSL research group (Thermophysical and Surface Properties of Liquids), focusing on molecular thermodynamics, nanomaterials in fluids, and surface phenomena. His research integrates experimental and theoretical approaches to study liquid mixtures, surfactants, and additive systems for industrial applications. He holds a PhD from the University of Santiago de Compostela (1991), with a thesis on liquid mixture thermodynamics.

His work emphasizes thermophysical properties such as surface tension, heat capacity, and viscosity, with recent contributions to nanofluids, ionic liquids, and lubricant additives for electric vehicles.
