AJ Delgado is an Assistant Professor of Instruction and BTF Post Doctoral Fellow at the College for Health, Community and Policy at The University of Texas at San Antonio. His work bridges Public Health, Sociology, and Demography with a focus on advancing health equity through interdisciplinary research.
His research interests include:
- Latino health disparities and chronic disease prevention
- HIV outcomes improvement
- Generative AI applications in public health research and community engagement
- Advanced quantitative methods in survey research and applied statistics
- Community-based participatory approaches
He holds a Ph.D. in Applied Demography from UTSA, an M.Ed. in Educational Psychology (Quantitative Methods) from UT Austin, and dual master's and bachelor's degrees in Health/Kinesiology and Psychology from UTSA.
The College for Health, Community and Policy (HCAP) at UTSA aims to develop solutions for complex social issues through education, knowledge creation, and community partnerships, aligning with Delgado's applied research focus.
