Dr. Abdullah Bedeva is an Assistant Professor in the Arabic Language and Literature Department at Bingöl University's Faculty of Islamic Sciences/Eastern Languages and Literatures. He holds a PhD from Bingöl University (2019) and has served since 2019 in his current role. He previously worked as a Research Assistant (2010-2012), Lecturer (2012-2019), and held administrative roles including Deputy Director of the Living Languages Institute (2012-2016) and Director of the Living Languages Institute (2021–present).
Education: BA in Theology from Ankara University (2008), MA in Arabic Rhetoric from Marmara University (2012), PhD in Arabic Language and Rhetoric from Bingöl University (2019).
Research focuses on Arabic linguistics, Quranic exegesis, and classical Arabic poetry. Notable works include studies on Ibn Ashur's Quranic methodology and the role of etymology in Quranic interpretation. He has supervised four theses on topics ranging from classical Arabic poetry to Quranic recitation analysis.
Professional activities include refereeing for journals like Bingöl University's Theology Journal and presenting at international conferences on Islamic sciences and language studies. Fluent in Arabic (91.25 score) and Farsi.
