Églantine Colon is a Lecturer in the Department of European Languages and Transcultural Studies at UCLA, part of the UCLA College. They teach French language, literature, film, culture, and critical theory. Previously, they held positions at Duke University, UC Berkeley, and CalArts. Their research focuses on Critical Theory, French and Francophone Studies (19th-21st centuries), Pedagogy, Urban Studies in post/neocolonial contexts, and aesthetic experimentation.
Colon is a co-editor of the academic journal SubStance and a translator.
