rl Goldberg is an Assistant Professor of Queer Studies at Hampshire College. Their research and teaching focus on trans and queer studies, phenomenology, pedagogy, and 19th-20th century U.S. literature. Goldberg received their A.B. from Harvard College and Ph.D. from Princeton University, and they have published works on trans epistemology, pedagogy, autotheory, pornography, and trans sleaze in books and public-facing scholarship.

Their courses include Trans Film, What is Trans?, Queer Poetics, and Critical University Studies, emphasizing the intersection of trans representation with power structures like race, class, and carceral systems.
