Associate Professor
Sirle Duus Bürkland is an Associate Professor at Aalborg University Business School, part of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities. Her academic work focuses on sustainability accounting, ERP systems, and management control systems. She actively contributes to the Environmental Research Hub's 'Green Societies' initiative and holds an ERPsim certification for teaching SAP solutions. Education includes a PhD in Accounting from the University of Vaasa (2009), M.Sc. in Economics from Tartu University (2003), and a BA in Accounting & Corporate Finance (2000). She has taught at HEC Paris and developed courses in Denmark, emphasizing management accounting, ERP systems, and sustainability reporting.
