Gabriele Di Luozzo, MD, is an Associate Professor of Surgery (Cardiac) at Yale University School of Medicine and Chief of Cardiac Surgery at Bridgeport Hospital. He specializes in complex aortic diseases, including aortic dissection, thoracoabdominal aneurysms, and valve disorders. His clinical expertise includes advanced surgical techniques such as fenestrated and branched endovascular repair (F/BEVAR) for abdominal aortic aneurysms. Dr. Di Luozzo completed residencies at Yale University School of Medicine (2001), Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (2003), and the University of Miami (2005), followed by an Aortic Surgery Fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital (2006). His research focuses on spinal cord protection during aortic surgery, aortic valve and aneurysm progression, and gene expression profiling in surgical outcomes. Notable studies include investigations into bicuspid aortic valve natural history, spinal cord collateral networks, and paraspinous muscle gene expression.
