Peter Lindstedt is a Professor of Thermofluids and Associate Provost (Academic Promotions) at Imperial College London. He holds affiliations with the Thermofluids Division and the Network of Excellence in Air Quality. His academic journey includes a MEng from Chalmers University of Technology (1980) and a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College London (1981–1984). Roles: Head of Thermofluids Division (2000–2010), Director of Research (2003–2013), Deputy Head of Department (2007–2013) Leadership: Consul for Faculty of Engineering and Business School (2013–2016), Senior Consul (2017–2019) Research focuses on combustion science, including chemical reaction mechanisms, computational fluid dynamics, and applied mathematics. He has authored over 100 peer-reviewed papers and contributed to international symposia like the International Symposium on Combustion. His work spans theoretical studies, computational modeling, and industrial applications in propulsion systems and fuel technologies. Editorial roles include Associate Editor of Combustion and Flame (2000–2010) and membership on editorial boards of Combustion Theory and Modelling and Progress in Energy and Combustion Science . He co-chaired the 30th International Symposium on Combustion and led expert committees for the LPG industry and motor sport fuels. Consultancy includes high-hydrogen fuels, propulsion systems, and regulatory policy advising. His contributions to the LPG industry report were endorsed by the UK government’s Health and Safety Executive.
