Dan M. Ionel, Professor and inaugural L. Stanley Pigman Chair in Power at the University of Kentucky (UK), directs the Power and Energy Institute Kentucky (PEIK). He is affiliated with the SPARK Laboratory in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, focusing on renewable energy, electric machines, and smart grids.
