Minou Rabiei is an Associate Professor in the Department of Energy & Petroleum Engineering at the University of Wyoming. Her research focuses on applying data analytics and machine learning to energy industry challenges, including predictive analytics, risk management, and regulatory compliance. She holds a PhD in Applied Statistics-Reservoir Engineering from Curtin University (2012), an MSc in Advanced Information Technology from London South Bank University (2002), and a BSc in Mining Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology (1998). Her work addresses energy transition topics such as hydrogen production from produced water, subsurface storage solutions, and optimizing unconventional resource development. Key areas include machine learning for reservoir characterization, fracture network analysis, and CO2 sequestration modeling. Recent studies explore Wyoming-specific opportunities in green hydrogen and geothermal energy repurposing. Dr. Rabiei has authored over 60 peer-reviewed articles and actively contributes to industry-relevant research through collaborations with energy sector stakeholders. She advises on regulatory frameworks for emerging energy technologies and maintains a focus on data-driven solutions for operational efficiency and environmental sustainability.
