Dr. Robert White is an Associate Professor of Trumpet and Assistant Director at the Irving S. Gilmore School of Music, Western Michigan University. His roles include teaching, performing, and leading ensembles such as the Western Brass Quintet and Detroit Chamber Winds and Strings. He holds a Doctor of Music from Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music (2007), Master of Music (1998), and Bachelor of Music Education (1995) from Western Michigan University. Active internationally, White performs with orchestras like the Detroit Symphony, Grand Rapids Symphony, and Michigan Opera Theatre. His career spans orchestral, chamber, commercial, and solo engagements, including appearances at Carnegie Hall and collaborations with renowned artists such as Wayne Shorter and The Who.
