Tom Chen is a Professor of Marketing and Director of Studies for MBA programmes at Kent Business School, University of Kent. He previously held an honorary position at the National Centre for Epidemiology and Population Health, Australian National University, until 2024. His research centers on service research, marketing theory, and co-creation strategies, with emphasis on disruptive service systems such as smart cities, digital health platforms, and mental health engagement. He co-founded the Co-creation in Service and Customer Engagement (CCIS-CE) Symposium and the Sharing Smart Cities Consortium.
