Elmira Zohrevandi is a Research Fellow at Linköping University's Media and Information Technology (MIT) department within the Department of Science and Technology (ITN). Her research focuses on enhancing human-automation collaboration through innovative visual analytics interfaces. She holds a M.Sc. in Transportation Systems Engineering and Logistics from Linköping University's Communication and Transport division (KTS) and a Ph.D. in Visualization and Media Technology from MIT/ITN. Her work integrates domain problem characterization using work domain analysis, visual encoding design, and evaluation study methodologies. Key research areas include: Design of explainable AI interfaces for industrial operators Real-time decision support systems for air traffic management Virtual reality frameworks for mixed autonomy road safety Ecological interface design for time-sensitive industrial processes Publications emphasize practical applications in industrial automation, aviation, and transportation sectors. Current projects involve collaboration with industry partners to develop human-centered solutions for complex automated systems. Active in visualization research communities, she contributes to advancing both theoretical foundations and applied visual analytics techniques.
