Senior Lecturer
Candice Moore is a Senior Lecturer in International Relations at the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits), where she has been employed since at least 2001. She earned her PhD from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 2011, and her research focuses on the International Relations of the Global South, with specializations in South African and Brazilian foreign policy, IR theory, and climate change adaptation. Her research interests span the International Relations of the Global South South African Foreign Policy Brazilian Foreign Policy BRICS and South-South Cooperation Climate Change and Global Health Conflict Resolution in Africa She has published extensively on these topics, including analyses of BRICS health diplomacy during the pandemic, African Union strategies, and post-Libya stabilization efforts. Her academic output includes 15 prominent works, with recent articles addressing the Russia–Ukraine War from a Global South perspective (2024), climate change adaptation in Africa (2021), and South-South cooperation frameworks (2022). Her article keywords reflect expertise in diplomacy, geopolitical alliances, and development policy.
