Giuseppe Della Ricca is a Full Professor of Physics at the University of Trieste, where he serves as the Head of the Department of Physics. He is actively involved in experimental particle physics research, particularly with the CMS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN. His research focuses on fundamental interactions and applications in high energy physics. Professor Della Ricca holds multiple leadership positions within the university, including: Head of Department Head of Head's Office Member of the Executive Board Head of Management Committee Member of Department's Board He also serves on various Boards of Studies and Doctoral Studies Boards for Physics programs across multiple cycles (XXIX to XXXIX). His research interests center around experimental particle physics, particularly focusing on: Particle Physics at the Large Hadron Collider (CMS experiment) Fundamental Interactions High Energy Physics Standard Model tests and Beyond Standard Model physics His work involves developing advanced simulation, reconstruction, identification, and event selection algorithms for the CMS experiment. Professor Della Ricca is actively involved in several research projects: INFN grant "Development of advanced simulation, reconstruction, identification and event selection algorithms with the CMS experiment" National Centre for HPC, Big Data and Quantum Computing Precision tIming in the quest for New physiCs at LHC (PINCH) These projects highlight his engagement with cutting-edge research in particle physics and computational methods. His recent publications demonstrate a strong focus on precision measurements at the LHC, including W boson mass measurements, Higgs boson studies, searches for new physics beyond the Standard Model, and advanced data analysis techniques using machine learning approaches.
