About
Ida Torkjellsdatter Storehaug is a Doctoral Research Fellow in High Energy Physics at the University of Oslo, conducting research with the ALICE experiment at CERN. Her work focuses on reconstructing B mesons in quark-gluon plasma environments using advanced particle identification techniques.
Storehaug's research analyzes both Run 2 and Run 3 data from the LHC, examining rare decay channels to probe QCD matter under extreme conditions. She investigates strange particle production, antinuclei propagation, and quarkonium behavior in proton-proton and heavy-ion collisions.
Beyond research, Storehaug co-leads the FYS2130 Oscillations and Waves course and teaches data analysis methods. She hosts the Norwegian physics podcast 'God fysikk' and develops science communication strategies through the MNKOM9010 course.
