Brenda L. Boyd, PhD serves as Associate Professor and PhD Program Director in the Radiation Technology department within Loma Linda University's School of Allied Health Professions. Her academic appointment focuses on Medical Radiology education and program leadership. She also investigates leadership principles drawn from unexpected sources like photography, connecting them to Christian educational values. Her four key publications demonstrate her dual focus on technical radiation safety issues and leadership development. The 2022 literature review on fetal imaging safety represents her most recent technical contribution, while her 2015 leadership article shows her interdisciplinary approach to professional development in healthcare education. Dr. Boyd actively participates in university service through multiple committees including the University Faculty Council (serving as Secretary 2016-2019), Academic Service Learning Committee (as Co-chair), and Student Success Committee (as Co-chair). She has led multiple interdisciplinary mission trips to Honduras, Belize, and Haiti through the university since 2012.
