Associate Professor
Dr. Miradet Zulić is an Associate Professor at the Academy of Music of the University of East Sarajevo, specializing in Musicology and History of Music. He holds a PhD in Musicology (2009) from the Academy of Music in Sarajevo and has held academic positions since 2010, teaching History of Music I-IV and Methodology of Professional Work. His career includes part-time teaching roles at the Secondary Music School in Sarajevo (Accordion Department) and the Art School in Bihać, alongside jury work in national and international music competitions. Education: B.A. in Theoretical and Pedagogical Music (Sarajevo Academy of Music, 1980s), M.A. in Pedagogical Music Studies (2003), and PhD in Musical History (2009). He completed doctoral research at the University of Music and Applied Arts in Vienna (2005–2006). Research focuses on musicology, regional musical history (Northeastern Bosnia), accordion pedagogy, and cultural heritage preservation. He has authored two major publications: *HARMONICA: A Basic Overview* (2005) and the monograph *Secondary Music School Tuzla – 50 Years* (2011). His work appears in journals like *Muzika*, *Novi Zvuk*, and *Intermusik*. Awards include the 2007 Recognition for Music Pedagogy Excellence and 2015 Lifetime Achievement Award for contributions to education and musicology in Tuzla Canton. He is a member of the Musicological Society of Bosnia and Herzegovina, serving on its Board of Directors for two terms. Professional activities include jury service for music competitions, leadership roles in academic organizations, and contributions to international conferences. His teaching and research emphasize bridging historical music studies with contemporary pedagogical practices.
