Giovanna Morini is an Associate Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders at the University of Delaware, affiliated with the College of Health Sciences. She holds a Ph.D. in Hearing & Speech Sciences from the University of Maryland (2014) and dual bachelor's degrees in Linguistics and Psychology from the University of Florida (2007). Dr. Morini leads research initiatives in the Speech Language Acquisition and Multilingualism (SLAM) Lab and maintains connections through the Language Research Registry (LRR). Her research focuses on child language development across monolingual and bilingual contexts, examining speech perception mechanisms , second-language acquisition , and cultural influences on language learning .
