Mahmoud Almasri is a Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Missouri's College of Engineering. His research focuses on biomedical microsensors, infrared technologies, energy harvesting, and nanoelectromechanical systems. He holds a PhD from Southern Methodist University and BS/MS degrees from Bogazici University. Almasri's work includes pioneering advancements in uncooled infrared detectors, microfluidic biosensors for pathogen detection, and optical fiber-based SERS sensors.
