Dr. Zeeshan Mahmood is a Lecturer in Accounting at the Essex Business School, University of Essex. His research focuses on sustainability accounting, CSR, and institutional dynamics in emerging economies. He teaches Financial Reporting, Management Accounting, and Professional Development modules. PhD in Accounting (2016), University of Essex MRes in Accounting (2011), University of Essex His research explores sustainability reporting, SDGs, and gender equality in management controls. He has presented at major conferences like the Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Accounting Conference and British Accounting and Finance Association Doctoral Conference. Publications highlight CSR reporting trends in developing countries and institutional logics. Current supervisees include Abdullah Mushabab A Albakri (PhD in Accounting). He has presented at 24th Workshop on Accounting & Finance in Emerging Economies (2023) and contributed to studies on carbon accounting and CPEC megaprojects.
