Mikael Skoglund is a Professor and Head of the Division of Information Science and Engineering at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. His academic roles include membership in the Executive Committee of Digital Futures, and leadership in projects such as Humanizing the Sustainable Smart City (HiSSx) and PERCy. He holds a Ph.D. from Chalmers University of Technology (1997) and became a Professor at KTH in 2003. His work bridges theoretical foundations with applications in wireless systems, federated learning, and privacy mechanisms. Projects & Collaborations: Leading initiatives in integrated sensing and communication (ISAC), federated learning, and smart city technologies. Active in strategic research areas like ICT-TNG and Digital Futures. Awards: IEEE Fellow (2023). Students & Grants: Supervised over 40 Ph.D. and postdoc researchers.
