Dr. Yunlei Li is an Assistant Professor at the Erasmus Medical Center , leading the machine learning/artificial intelligence research line in the Department of Pathology & Clinical Bioinformatics. Her work spans translational cancer research and clinical data analysis, focusing on integrating multi-dimensional patient data (DNA, RNA, proteins, images, clinical) for biomarker discovery and personalized treatment strategies. Education PhD in Bioinformatics, Delft University of Technology (2010) MSc in Data Mining & Bioinformatics, Delft University of Technology (2004) Research interests center on applying novel AI/ML methods to clinical oncology challenges, including neural network modeling , NLP/LLM for clinical data, and deep learning in histopathology. Recent trends include multi-omics integration for melanoma metastasis prediction and transfer learning in glioblastoma drug response modeling. Her work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being .
