Nathaniel Télémaque is a Lecturer in Geography and Social Justice at King's College London, based in the Department of Geography within the School of Global Affairs. He holds a PhD in Geography (Practice-Related) from University College London (2019–2023). His work bridges visual art, urban studies, and human geography, focusing on Black geographies, marginalized communities, and collaborative photographic practices. Key research themes include stigmatized urban locales, Black experiences of place, and the intersection of visual culture with geographical inquiry. Educated at UCL, Télémaque’s practice involves photography, soundscapes, and film to engage with everyday life in urban contexts. His research emphasizes ethical engagement with communities, positioning visual materials as tools for nuanced dialogue. He contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to social justice and education through his scholarship and teaching.
