Professor
Richard Nyuur is the Head of the International Business, Marketing and Strategy Department and a Professor of International Business at the University of Bradford School of Management, part of the Faculty of Management, Law & Social Sciences. Previously, he held roles as Associate Professor at Newcastle Business School (Northumbria University) and leadership positions in entrepreneurship and international student affairs within the Faculty of Business and Law. His research focuses on international business and strategy, particularly foreign direct investment (FDI), SME internationalization, strategic adaptiveness in emerging economies, international human resource management, and corporate social responsibility. He has published in top-tier journals like the British Journal of Management and serves on editorial boards of Critical Perspectives of International Business, Journal of African Business, and European Journal of Economics and Management. He is a Fellow of the Institute for Trade and Innovation at Offenburg University, Germany. Research interests include post-internationalization strategic adaptiveness, market/non-market strategies of foreign firms in emerging economies, and technology/knowledge transfer for developing countries. His work examines these themes in SMEs and multinational enterprises under weak institutional conditions. He has co-edited special issues in Critical Perspectives of International Business and IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management. Teaching focuses on International Business and Innovation , Global Business Ethics , and Strategic Management . Awards include his Fellowship status. His contributions span editorial leadership, policy analysis on the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), and exploration of digitalization strategies in crisis contexts.
