Professor Peter Robinson is an Emeritus Professor of Computer Technology at the University of Cambridge's Department of Computer Science and Technology. He leads the Rainbow Group, focusing on human-computer interaction, emotion computation, and inclusive technologies. His research integrates video and paper interfaces, social robotics, and driver assistance systems. Key areas include facial expression analysis, emotion recognition in machines, and accessibility for users with disabilities. Robinson holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Cambridge and has been recognized with awards such as the Pilkington Prize for Teaching (1996) and the IBM Faculty Award (2004). He is a Fellow of Gonville & Caius College and actively contributes to interdisciplinary projects like ASC-Inclusion, an educational platform for children with autism spectrum conditions.
