Dr. Laurens Rook is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Technology, Policy and Management, Delft University of Technology, Netherlands. He holds a Ph.D. from Rotterdam School of Management and degrees in Communication Studies from the University of Amsterdam. His research focuses on online personalization, creativity, and choice behavior within human-computer interaction, particularly exploring how technology can foster prosocial, sustainable, and health-conscious decisions. He teaches courses including Leadership and Technology Management, Research Methods, and High-Tech Marketing.
Research interests include design for values, responsible risk management, and the ethical implications of intelligent systems. He collaborates internationally with computer scientists and econometricians in Italy, Austria, and the Netherlands. His work spans journal articles in OMEGA, Journal of Cleaner Production, and conference proceedings for IEEE/ACM.
