Clark D. Cunningham is a Professor of Law and inaugural holder of the W. Lee Burge Chair in Law & Ethics at Georgia State University College of Law. As director of the National Institute for Teaching Ethics & Professionalism and co-editor of the International Forum on Teaching Legal Ethics & Professionalism , he has shaped global discourse on legal professionalism. Education: A.B., Dartmouth College (1975, summa cum laude); J.D., Wayne State University (1981, summa cum laude) Research Interests span Legal Ethics , Constitutional Interpretation , and Interdisciplinary Legal Scholarship , combining Linguistics , Social Science , and Comparative Legal Systems . His work on Original Meaning and Legal Semantics has been cited by the U.S. Supreme Court.
