Stefan Vogel is an Associate Professor in Nanobioscience at the Department of Physics, Chemistry and Pharmacy, University of Southern Denmark (SDU), where he leads a research group at the Nucleic Acid Center. He is actively involved in cutting-edge research in nanomedicine, nucleic acid chemistry, and targeted drug delivery systems. Key areas include automated synthesis of bioconjugates, PET imaging agents, and theranostic applications. His recent work explores DNA-programmed nanoreactors and photocatalytic systems for green chemistry. His recent publications (2023–2025) demonstrate strong trends in programmable biomolecular systems, lipid nanoparticles, and hybrid catalysis. Articles in Journal of the American Chemical Society and Small highlight advancements in DNA-encoded liposome fusion, RNA loading of extracellular vesicles, and photobiocatalysis, reflecting a cohesive trajectory toward intelligent, biomimetic nanoreactors.
