Olav Bolland is the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and holds the academic rank of Professor of Thermal Power Engineering. His research focuses on carbon capture and storage (CCS), thermal power systems, and CO2 emission management in power generation. He leads the ECCSEL initiative, an international laboratory infrastructure for CCS research and innovation.
