Charles D. Eggleton is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), where he has served since 1998, advancing from Assistant to Associate to Full Professor. He directs the UMBC Engineering Program at the Universities at Shady Grove and teaches courses in fluid mechanics and related fields. Recent work involves high-throughput cell mechanical property measurements and optical-based microfluidic separators for bioanalysis. Publications highlight interdisciplinary work bridging Biomechanics , Microfluidics , and Computational Fluid Dynamics , with applications in biomedical engineering, cell adhesion, and fluid dynamics.
