Zoryana Kushpler

Zoryana Kushpler is a Univ.-Prof. of Voice at the Department of Vocal Studies at Mozarteum University starting October 2023. A distinguished mezzo-soprano, she holds affiliations with Vienna State Opera (2007-2020) and Volksoper Wien. Her artistic training includes studies under Prof. Judith Beckmann at Hamburg University of Music, enriched by masterclasses with Teresa Berganza, Renata Scotto, and Kurt Moll.

Her expertise spans operatic roles such as Rosina (Il Barbiere di Siviglia) and Maddalena (Rigoletto), with notable performances at venues including Carnegie Hall, Elbphilharmonie, and Royal Albert Hall. She specializes in concert and lied repertoire alongside operatic performance.

Recipient of the prestigious ARD Competition first prize (2000), her career highlights include sustained ensemble membership at Vienna State Opera and guest appearances across major international stages.
