Peter Baxrainer

Peter Baxrainer serves as a Teacher of Guitar Skills within the Department of Music Education at Mozarteum University Salzburg, while also maintaining teaching positions at Musikum Salzburg and St. Ursula Private High School, demonstrating a multifaceted commitment to music education across institutional boundaries.

His academic foundation encompasses dedicated studies in guitar performance, music education, and mathematics, enriched by extensive practical experience including over 50 live performances and television appearances alongside globally recognized artists such as Shakira and Michael Bublé.

Baxrainer's artistic practice spans extraordinary stylistic diversity—from Renaissance and classical traditions performed at the Salzburg Festival and with the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra to contemporary expressions in Pop, Jazz, Funk, Hip Hop, and New Music. As founder of the art rock band Blank Manuscript, he develops innovative concept albums and European concert productions, while simultaneously creating commissioned compositions and film scores.

His professional collaborations extend to major ensembles including the Austrian Ensemble for New Music and Salzburg Philharmonic, alongside international tours with artists like Nena, reflecting deep integration within both academic and professional music ecosystems.
