Dr. Zoi Konsoula is a Lecturer in Chemistry at the University of Nicosia, School of Life and Health Sciences, Department of Life Sciences. She has been teaching General, Physical, Inorganic, Organic, and Food Chemistry since 2010, and supervises 4th-year Research Projects and PhD candidates. Her affiliations include the Higher Education Academy (Fellow), Panhellenic Association of Chemical Engineers, and Technical Chamber of Hellas.
- Education: BSc (Honors) in Chemical Engineering (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, 2000), PhD in Applied Biochemistry/Biotechnology (Aristotle University, 2005), and Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Development (University of Hertfordshire, 2012).
Dr. Konsoula’s research focuses on Biotechnology, Food Science, and Environmental Chemistry, with recent work on phytochemical isolation, oil stabilization using natural extracts, and climate impacts on public health. Her articles explore temperature-mortality correlations in Cyprus and applications of food biotechnology.
She has served as a chemistry lab instructor in the ERASMUS+ project and held leadership roles at Intercollege Nicosia (Coordinator of Pre-Medical Programme, President of Faculty Body). Her scientific awards include distinctions from the Technical Chamber of Hellas and Aristotle University Research Committee.
