Christos Petrou

Professor Christos Petrou is a faculty member at the University of Nicosia, School of Life and Health Sciences, Department of Health Sciences. He serves as Head of Department and is a Member of the Senate. His academic career includes coordinating the University of Nicosia's Pharmacy Programme since 2013 and prior roles at the Cyprus Ministry of Health.

Research interests focus on peptide design/synthesis for biomedical applications and investigation of Cyprus endemic plant species. Collaborations span European Medicines Agency and Cyprus national committees.

Current research output trends show expertise in peptide chemistry, chromatin immunoprecipitation, ST2 receptor pathways, and pharmacovigilance, with publications in journals covering pharmaceutical policy, peptide science, and clinical health applications.
