Zofia Rudnicka

Zofia Rudnicka is a distinguished dance artist and educator serving as a long-time soloist of the Great Theatre – National Opera in Warsaw and teacher of dance composition and choreography at the Roman Turczynowicz General Ballet School. She maintains academic affiliation with Fryderyk Chopin University of Music, where she supervised concerts at the FCUM Concert Hall and presented scholarly work internationally.

Her research centers on ballet pedagogy and choreographic methodology, examining how collaborative processes between choreographers and students impact artistic development. She bridges academic theory with professional practice through opera and operetta choreography for major Polish institutions including the Great Theatre in Łódź, Podlasie Opera in Białystok, and Opera Nova in Bydgoszcz, specializing in works by Strauss, Bizet, and Kalman.

Dr. Rudnicka's 2015 conference paper at the Agrippina Vaganova Russian Ballet Academy established her scholarly contribution to dance education. She actively shapes the field through leadership roles including Head of Jury for the "Ballet Confrontations" Competition and membership in the Jan Kiepura Competition artistic chapter, while promoting dance through Polish Radio broadcasts on contemporary performance practices.

As artistic supervisor for diploma presentations of ballet pedagogy students at the Great Theatre – National Opera, she mentors emerging professionals.
