Zoë Adjey is a Senior Lecturer and Cluster Lead for the Institute of Hospitality and Tourism at the University of East London (UEL), within the Royal Docks School of Business and Law. Her academic role includes teaching Hospitality Management, Events Management, and supervisory modules. She holds a BA in Hospitality Management and over 25 years of experience across hospitality operations, education, and strategic initiatives.
Her research focuses on hospitality industry trends, post-pandemic recovery, Brexit impacts, staffing challenges, and mentorship. She has authored works like Food & Beverage Service: Levels 1 & 2 S/NVQ (2009) and contributes to industry commentary via publications like The Caterer and The Mirror.
Zoë’s career includes roles as Group Trainer at Caprice Holdings and curriculum leadership at Westminster Kingsway College. She currently serves as a Springboard Ambassador, mentoring early-career hospitality professionals.
