Zhengbin Lu

Zhengbin Lu is an Associate Professor in the Department of World Languages and Cultures at Spelman College, where he has taught since 2008. He pioneered the establishment of Spelman's Chinese Studies program and specializes in integrating technology into language pedagogy. A native of Qingdao, China, Dr. Lu holds an Ed.D. from Texas Tech University, an M.Ed. in Instructional Technology, and a B.A. in English Education.

His research focuses on innovative teaching methodologies, including computer-assisted Chinese character instruction, multimedia resources (audio/video/text), and transcontinental 'keypal' exchanges with students in China. He also designs gamified learning tools like his custom "Jeopardy" adaptation to enhance student engagement.
