About
Zhao Bingzi is a Researcher and Doctoral Supervisor at the Nanjing Institute of Soil Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and serves on the Soil Physics Committee of the Chinese Society of Soil Science. She earned her PhD in Agronomy from the same institute in 1997 and has conducted postdoctoral research at Japan's National Agricultural Research Center (2000-2002).
- Education:
- BSc from Zhejiang University (Huajiachi campus), 1989
- MSc in Agronomy, Nanjing Institute of Soil Science, 1992
- PhD in Agronomy, Nanjing Institute of Soil Science, 1997
Research Interests focus on soil organic matter dynamics, crop productivity, soil water management, and pollutant fate (viruses, organic/inorganic pollutants). Her work integrates isotope tracing, NMR technology, and microbial ecology to study carbon/nutrient cycling in agricultural soils.
Recent Publications highlight her contributions to understanding soil organic carbon accumulation under fertilization, microbial community-structure interactions, and residue incorporation effects on soil properties. Keywords span soil fertility, environmental remediation, and agricultural systems.
International Collaborations include institutions in Italy (ICTP), UK (Macaulay Institute), USA (Delaware State University), and Australia (University of Melbourne), reflecting her global research engagement.
