Zenas Yiu is a Clinical Senior Lecturer in Dermatology and Pharmacoepidemiology at the University of Manchester and Honorary Consultant Dermatologist at Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust. He holds a BSc in Anatomical Sciences, MBChB, MSc in Epidemiology, and PhD in Medicine.
His research evaluates the safety and effectiveness of novel therapeutics for chronic inflammatory skin conditions, using pharmacoepidemiological approaches and real-world data. Dr. Yiu leads the Dermatology and Pharmacoepidemiology Research Group investigating drug safety profiles, treatment outcomes, and evidence-based approaches to dermatological care.
His extensive publication record includes studies on infection risks associated with biologic therapies, drug survival comparisons, and methodological approaches for integrating clinical trial and real-world evidence.

Dr. Yiu chairs the British Association of Dermatologists' guideline for methotrexate and serves on steering committees for national psoriasis, skin cancer, and alopecia registries. He is co-deputy chair of the UK Dermatology Clinical Trials Network and serves on NICE Technology Appraisal Committee D.
