Zachary Finch

Zachary Finch is Senior Teaching Faculty in English at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with expertise in Scottish, British, and U.S. cinema. His research examines film genres, authorship, and representations of gender in popular culture.

Scholarly work analyzes teen films, zombie narratives, and avant-garde cinema through frameworks of cultural theory and gender studies. Publications include edited volumes on Scottish cinema and critical reviews of film theory monographs.

Teaching focuses on media studies methodologies and the sociocultural dimensions of film. Courses explore film genres, directors, and the intersection of cinema with identity politics.
