Zach Williams is a Lecturer in Creative Writing at Stanford University's Department of English. He holds the position of Jones Lecturer in Fiction and previously served as a Wallace Stegner Fellow (2021-2023). His academic focus centers on fiction writing, creative nonfiction, and narrative techniques.
Williams' debut short story collection Beautiful Days (Doubleday, 2024) was longlisted for the 2025 PEN/Robert W. Bingham Prize and is a finalist for the California Book Award.
