Lara Williams

Lara Williams is a Lecturer in the Department of English at Manchester Metropolitan University, specializing in creative writing and contemporary literature. She is an award-winning author with works published internationally, including novels and short story collections. Her research interests span narrative techniques, cultural storytelling, and the intersection of fiction and modern society.

Williams' publications include Supper Club (2019), which won The Guardian’s Not The Booker Prize, and The Odyssey (2022), exploring contemporary reinterpretations of classic themes. Her debut short story collection Treats (2016) was shortlisted for the Republic of Consciousness Prize and longlisted for the Edge Hill Prize.
