Yun Su

Dr. Yun Su (Suky) is an Associate Professor of Mathematics at Indiana Tech, part of the Talwar College of Engineering and Computer Sciences. She has been a full-time faculty member since 2016, progressing from Assistant Professor (2016–2022) to her current role. Her academic journey includes a Ph.D. and M.A. from the University of Wisconsin at Madison (2016, 2011) and a B.S. from the University of Illinois at Chicago (2009).

Dr. Su specializes in teaching a broad range of mathematics courses including Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus, Probability and Statistics, and Numerical Methods. She emphasizes interactive learning through group activities, problem-solving, and the use of tools like GeoGebra and Desmos to visualize complex concepts. Her teaching philosophy centers on fostering resilience through embracing mistakes as learning opportunities.

Her professional presentations focus on educational technology and pedagogy, such as integrating Kahoot and GeoGebra for engagement, and strategies for active learning. She advises the Math Club and maintains a personal website for course materials, lecture videos, and student resources. Beyond academia, she enjoys creative pursuits like Chinese traditional painting and photography.
